  • In the first two photos, Amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) gets underway off the coast of Naval Air Station, North Island, Calif.
  • In the third picture Petty Officer 3rd Class Larry Ildefonso (right) and Petty Officer 2nd Class Peter Phipps move a pallet of ordnance in the hangar bay of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Essex. Essex is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and is conducting operations in the western Pacific Ocean.
  • In the fourth photo Sailors assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious transport dock ship USS Denver conduct a rigid hull inflatable boat recovery during a man overboard drill. Denver is part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group.
