Australian Army Exercises for Joint Fires

03/30/2016: Members of the 1st Brigade conducted a Joint Fires Day at Exercise Predators Gallop in the Cultana Training Area on Thursday, the 24th of March 2016.

Featuring Australian Army M777 Howitzer guns from the 8th/12th Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery, mortars, direct fire support weapons and small arms from the 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, and two Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18F Super Hornets, the Joint Fires Day enabled the soldiers and airmen to put their equipment to the test, demonstrating the way different Australian Defence Force elements combine to produce joint fires effects.
