04/24/2013: An MV-22 Osprey from Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 26 lands on the flight deck of the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) during flight operations.
MSG-26 is performing launches and recoveries from the flight deck in order to complete required qualifications. Bataan is underway conducting training operations and qualifications.
UH-1N Huey and an AH-1W Super Cobra helicopters from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 167 stand by on the flight deck of the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) as an MV-22 Osprey approaches.
HMLA-167 is completing required qualifications. Bataan is underway conducting training operations and qualifications.
