08/17/2015: U.S. Marines assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 774 conduct the final flight of two CH-46E Sea Knights at the Fleet Readiness Center East, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C.
The CH-46E Sea Knight was decommisioned by the U.S. Marine Corps and replaced by the MV-22 Osprey.

And there was the comment made by Col. “Mongo” Seymour to the Marine who pined for the CH-46 days as he looked out Ospreys on the New River tarmac:
“You are not a stakeholder; you are a Marine. Get on with it.”
