An Update on F-35 Flight Testing

As of 04/30/2011, the fleet currently has logged 1,173.3 hours of testing over 780 flights.

With flight test operations at Naval Air Station (NAS) Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base in Texas, Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), Calif., and NAS Patuxent River, Md., the F-35 flight test program has made considerable progress in 2011. Highlights include first flights of the first two production-model aircraft, the ferry of the fourth F-35A jet to Edwards AFB, and increased F-35B vertical landings.
