The USMC Approach to Close Air Support

08/24/2011 In this video, Captain Wittel of the Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224, stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, SC explains the USMC approach to Close Air Support.  Captain Wittel was participating in an exercise during the week of August 21, 2011.  The 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing is conducting an exercise to work on close air support and surge operations.

JTACs are an important part of the exercise and Captain Wittel explains the approach.  We have written about the overall USMC approach on the website and this approach is a key part of our book on Three Dimensional Warriors.
